Around twelve exhibitions per year are shown in the library's exhibition hall. The cultural unit and Borlänge art association arrange the exhibitions that show art of today with artists from both the country at large and Dalarna.

Art exhibitions are also arranged at regular intervals at the following locations in the municipality:

• Gallery Black Spruce

• The dome

• Lions spring salon

• Vacant premises in the centre

The Maxim Theater

Maximteatern is used for various cultural events such as theatre, music, film and revue.

Local cultural associations, Riksteatern performances and independent theater groups are regularly booked into Maximteatern with its 317 seats in the main hall.

In addition to the theater stage, there is a smaller room, the Dalbergssalen, which can be booked for meetings, concerts, lectures, serving and picture shows.
